I am not very keen on yellow, but this one was picked by my partner and there it is. I have to admit I like it now 😉. Especially the light petals against dark foliage (as mentioned by you Rachel) :-) @rachelbrooks. Do you?

If someone wonder if #dahlia can grow and flower in the #shade... The answer is Yes, it can 😏 #dahlia-mystic-spirit

I always start mine off in front to bring it on in sun then move to back to shade and have no probs still flower for ages if not longer 👍

First one to flower. Got these last year, and managed to save it's life over the winter. I do recommend underplanting them with eg violas, they keep young dahlia's shoots warm and cosy in spring when night are still cold, and even now they add colour and interest below the foliage. #dahlia-mystic-spirit
