090718 Sat in the garden with a cuppa before work this morning, all I can hear is sheep and #bees which are absolutely covering the Hawthorne hedge! I actually thought there must be a nest in there yesterday but closer inspection said otherwise (phew)
Hi Abee, I’m sorry, but are you sure of this ID? I could be definitely wrong, but I never see Hawthorn (Crataegus) like this. It looks more like Ligustrum, Japanese Privet or some other variety to me. Does it have a bit waxy leaves and scented flowers?
Hi yes did a #PlantSnap ID later and I'm pretty sure it's Japanese privet growing amongst the Hawthorne :) thanks though @bensgarden
