Sue how often do you repot yours? And do you use Ericaceous? I've had my biggest one in an 18" container for 4yrs, put on a bit of growth last year, and absolutely none this year. Its more than a touch sad looking

@hebelover Hi Jason I don’t repot the really big ones as I can’t get them out without breaking the pot as they’re just a mass of roots, so every spring I scrape off the top couple of inches of soil if I can and add some Acer feed (vitax from Homebase) topdress with fresh compost and replace the slate chippings, multipurpose compost is fine. If you can repot then do it with a pot just slightly bigger. Good luck! 👍🍁
