Setting up for another round of flowers. I've still got my fingers crossed for my above ground planter to start and finish. #mckenzie #emilymckenzie #crocosmia #orangeflowers #montbretia #iridaceae

I'm struggling to get mine to flower since planting, I think I need to move them to a spot which doesn't dry out so easily I think. What type of position have you got yours in? I had success with other crocosmia 🤔

Rich,I placed them in a area that gets some morning sun, midday sun(about 4 hrs)of the day… then will get late afternoon part shade. I really tried watching the yard for a good spot since they r growing with Ostrich Fern and Spiderwort. We r going to start on a raised bed in the area..Fingers Crossed they will like the move and bed...lol!😍 @richard.spicer.7906

Yeah this is just the first good growing season I've had them. but I'm moving them into A raised flower bed at first of Fall or just as soon as I know it's safe and it won't hurt them..Oh Of Course..The bed needs to be done... bwahaha!!😂😂 Anyway..if I have enough to share I sure will do it😁 @rennezoe

Hmmmmm, not freesia, not crocosmia. I'm stumped! 😕

Could it be a Kaffir lily. I have one but it has kinda been neglected and hasn't flowered for a couple of years. I'm pretty sure it's a lily of some kind🤔

You know I think I've changed my mind the more I think about it. I think it's a Hemerocallis or Day Lily. It's the branching of the flowers that is the clue. You know how the come of the stem at different levels. As coincidence would have it I have just posted a yellow Day Lily pic. I cannot be sure but from memory I think my Kaffir flowered from the top of the stem. Just a thought to confuse matters more. 😳😀

The flower stem looks like a Freesia, but not the leaves. 😰 It is a pretty color.
