Rosa 'Fragrant Cloud'

I have finally gotten a #bud on my #fragrantcloud #rose It was stripped of leaves,having blk spots, and stems blackening. I do hope next yr is better. #rosebush #bush #hybridtearose #tearose #fragrant

#fragrantcloud #bud She's doing well. 🤔Just wish I could figure out what's causing leaves to yellow,blk spots,and stems to blacken. My #newdayrose has lost a few stems from it,so I hope that's not the case with the others.

The leaves turning yellow with black spots is from water. Roses do not like their leaves to be wet when u water do a slow drip around rose a few inches from base I just learned that. Theirs "Sevin spray" or "Sevin dust ". I prefer the spray I trim off leaves with blk. Spot spray with "Sevin" when it rains I go out and gently shake the water off but I'm not anywhere near knowing anything else. But ask Rose growers u know there beautiful

@spyder1980 he has beautiful roses and I believe he lives where the weather might be similar

@terrimclaughlin @cyndi.. I have watered below flowers,treated ty he rides with all natural spray and pulled leaves and taken all damaged leaves etc away from plants. I'm thinking it's from all this weather and after humidity causing the spots and fungi?? When the rain isn't going and it dries out it's not so bad. OHH,but wait... IT'S ONLY LIKE THAT'S FOR A WEEK..ERR!

Maybe it's that type of rose??? Not to familiar with roses but Sevin spray will help if you have a lot of blk. spot or fungus once my rosebuch was covered so I just sprayed it I was afraid to take off to many leaves but it's look great maybe read up on the ones u have. @terrimclaughlin I rather pull all leaves,trim bush to get rid blk fungus,and make sure there's nothing to hold water around it... than to use herbicides..unless it's drastic...as u've read it's harsh...use natural ways

@Acetaker you and cyndi are so right I just was reading about using any types of insecticides and they can harm many good guys I'm glad the subject came up hopefully cyndi can share where to learn about homemade products.@cyndi

Thanks 💕 @terrimclaughlin #Cyndi is our go-to info gal..😉😁 She does have alot of great advice in many things. The stuff that u have in your own home came b used..vineager,dishsoap,and garlic powder are one mix I use. Slides those buggars right off,it puts a shield on leaves, and repells ones not shown up yet. I've tried a few others but this weather is the too cause in my opinion.

Terry,it's work when working in clay..which I see u work with too..If you'll work the area u want a rose to b with, Topsoil with Used coffee grounds or even a peat moss based soil it helps. After u have planted your rose bush put the used coffee grounds around base around it over time it will help with drainage and loosen the soil up more. I've started using topsoil /w peatmoss when planting when I can since there's mostly clay in different areas of my gardens. (Cont)⬇

I'll also use Miracle Grow and mix it up in Gal. size Water Pitcher and feed my Roses that way,every 10 days til established,then 1 time a month... I do hope it helps you some😍 @rugbymom

Talk to them as u plant them,place used coffee grounds around or in soil, if it's not a rich soil..a feed and water as u would other flowering plants. 😍 @rugbymom
