Took the broke leaf from this #snakeplant or #motherinlawstongue and stuck it straight into the dirt. We'll see how this #propagation takes😍😁

@cyndi most of my cuttings I've done this too,but never this one. After a week it's snug feeling,so it's doing something...lol!😂

I've never had success propagating a snake plant.. Good luck

Thx, @mardel..let y'all know how it goes😍

This is also known as,Snake Plant, for it towering spikes containing water. It's a succulent, hates to be over watered.😕 If so,u get yellowing and/or root rot.

I love these plants. I used to have a couple of them always called them mother-in-law plants. But my kids used to cut off the spike at the top.

Yes,I always use to kid my ex mother-in-law,God Rest Her Soul, that I was given one just so I could count the tops for each time she gave me Love,as correcting, hehe!😁 I want to separate it and place them in tall planters, but have u go with what Ya have..😊

#myhouseplant
All the #newgrowth on my #snakeplant The #leafcutting 🌿(that is on lower left) #rooted in a 7 days. There is going to be some dividing going on next Spring,if not b4..lol! I've done it once already,so I have 2 pots,but I Love these!😍 #motherinlawstongue #sansevieria #succulent
I love the leaves on this one
Nice!
I've never had success propagating with leaf cuttings with the snake plant
I couldn't find these at the stores near me 😔@Acetaker if you do have some babies and willing to share, I would love a few?
@veepaisal I would be happy to. Just give me a bit,my daughter-in-law wanted some of this so of course couldn't hold back..lol! I'll start more in Spring. I have better luck with them then with alittle dormant time. Remind me in Spring and I'll start u someā„ļø🤗 @mardel all I have done is cut the leaf off and let it sit for a couple of days for the end to callus then sit it alittle bit into the soil/sand mix and keep a eye out. The mix needs to be wet not soggy😊
Thank you so much Chris 💋 woohoo can't wait! @Acetaker
