Help me identify this plant??? Thick stem with green leaves & sharp thorns, growing in a tangled cluster, all over one very unkempt backyard... Somewhat rose-like, except I don't recall ever planting or seeing roses here before...

It could be a wild rose, they're common where I'm from in Tennessee.

@toddbrandino That's what I was wondering... There's a bunch growing behind our farmhouse but we've been living elsewhere for 3 years (just checking in occasionally) so I've never seen them bloom or anything...

Maybe birds dropped some seeds if they ate the fruit
