I always thought this would kill succulents as they would get too much water?? Looks so healthy, i want to try haha

@ezramoo89 they grow special roots so they can control the uptake of water but this guy loves it in there. I replace the water every two weeks but apart from that it's easy sailing. I've found if you can keep the roots section dark they will grow much quicker just a tip

I have a baby succy, it's creased but I'm not sure what it is. It grew from a leaf and has roots but it hasn't grown for about 3 months.. if I put it into water like yours above, do you think it will struggle and die?

It's worth a shot in water. Make sure you wash the dirt off the roots before putting them in the water. @ezramoo89

Does water have special nutrients? I would like to give a try

@alejandra it's just rain water but I've added a very weak fertiliser but it isn't really needed

Look forward to seeing what happens @angiecrazycatlady Did you take a cutting and then pop that in or just take the old roots and put those in? Bit worried these will rot

I just took a cutting if you look thru my feet you'll see pics of it, I held the leaf in place with a rubber band so the leaf was just touching the water, I had 2 leaves 1 rooted 1 didn't. I'll definitely try this method again 😄
