Found the name of these! They were called Castlewellen Gold. Apparently they were grown for 9 years. Which, to this day is now 11 😇

Castlewellan gold were all the rage here about 25 years ago but people quickly realised they grew to tall & too quickly for gardens. Most have been cut down now round gardens. 🌲
@tomatoe That's a shame. They do grow quite tall though, you're right. We've got some large ones growing at the middle of our garden. We do keep them trimmed, but not as often as we hoped 😇
