Zantedeschia 'Black Star'

Devastated! Was checking on the roots of this guy and broke two big stems off😭 really hope it recovers and blooms still. I’m sick! Loved this plant.

My leaves on her are huge!!😊❤️

There really huge I like the spots. Has it bloomed? If not plzz share I’ve never seen one before 😊💕

I know my cannaslike to b nice and moist but their outside but it seems like if they stay moist and don’t dry I get blooms after blooms but I’m not sure how moist it should b indoors or does it like outdoors in your horticultural zone I know sun helps in producing the flowers. Keep us updated 😊💕

@terrimclaughlin I put mine out for sun once (partial) and it wasn’t a fan. It was too hot for it and it started drooping. I do mist mine though! And it gets a good bit of sun from the kitchen, it just can’t seem to take the heat we are having here.

Must just b the species! It sure is pretty.The ones down her lovebthe sun but their a difference species obviously cause of the foliage. Have a good one😊💕

Sometimes it’s a real bummer living down here in Texas but I have to just get native plants which a lot of mine aren’t and need shade and this house faces northeast so it causes problems but what can u do. And ur succulents are great I can’t grow those good at all You definitely have to know what to do with those guys👍🏻👍🏻🤗🤗😊💕

I can just imagine! I live in a basement apartment so I struggle with not enough light! Kind of he opposite of you lol. I make it work though, as I’m sure you do too 😊 and thank you! They’re my very first succulents so I am hoping they do well! They came to me in very rough shape so we shall see. I know I’ll never order off the site that I got them from again! Very poor packaging and everything. Sad.

Forgot to tell you most of the time I go to Lowe’s and you can get plant grow lights that fit in your lamps where u don’t have to buy that long fixture and a fluorescent grow light just take a bulb that works so u get the right size They work great😊💕
