I think this is a Laurustinus? It's about 2m tall. Leaves are in a bad way, lots of holes. A bit of Googling suggests it's being eaten by Viburnum beetle? If so, how can I help it survive?!

It looks like viburnum tinus not sure how to treat the beetle mine had a problem with its leaves last year I've gave it a really hard prune and it is responding well @AmandaTa

Hi, you can try just pruning hard back, I have had limited success with that. The other treat is a bug killer, sprayed in spring when they hatch out, and also in Autumn when the adults are laying eggs. I have had better success with that. Hope that helps

Thanks @joanboston @carolgs - should I prune it all the way back to the wood, or leave some green? Happy to do the former if that might help it!
