Preparing for frost again. Freeze warning out tonight until 9am tomorrow. Cover up a few things with sheets and brought in the plants that are not cold weather hardy. Really hope this is the last one. After all it is May!

@ambitiouswolf So weird. My friend in New York said it’s snowing there. Here in Los Angeles it’s been 38c for days now. So awful.

I didn't know this existed! Can't wait to see the flowers!!!

😒hope this ends soon for you

I can relate. Frost advisory next 5 days. I'm a tad over it. Want my beauties in my Garden. But this Clematis is stunning.

Beautiful. Its freezing in NJ too.

So here are the flowers for the serious black clematis. They are very small.

Clematis Bush is just starting up
Those are strikingly not-black flowers!
@emch check out the older pictures. It name mostly likely has to do with the leaves. In spring the leaves are dark purple color. Then turn dark olive color. It is a neat clematis. It is free standing. Not a climber.
I thought of that after posting my dumb question lol. The flowers are so variable!
@emch I would have had the same thoughts just seeing the pic I posted. Think with all the heat early this year it turned green faster then normal.
