Not easy to get a #hummingbird photo!

I wasn’t aware that goldfinches went after aphids!! This honeysuckle has a lot of aphids on it. Both pop and mom were loading up. The one in the pic is the male. I looked it up and goldfinches

Feed aphids and caterpillars to their babies. They can’t eat seeds. And the young finches still eat bugs.

I need some goldfinches on my hydrangea please 😆😆😉

A good reason not to use insecticides. Great photo 🤗

@Shephes you are correct! There is a reason for everything. All life has a purpose , even the things we don’t like.

Hummingbirds have been waiting for it to open. It is loaded with blooms. And we finally got some much needed rain.

Honeysuckle has start to open up all its flowers. Just in time too. Today I seen the first hummingbird of the season.

My honeysuckle is loaded with flowers that are getting ready to bloom. How is weeks weather doesn't hurt them. Frost advisory out for tonight. Dropping down in the 30s the night 3 nights.

I planted this on my mom's trellis last april and it doesn't seem too happy? Does this not transplant well? Barely climbs too. Hummingbirds love it to death though

@kipcott. This one I plant last summer. I have never moved one before. Maybe wait a year and see how it does. It may be adjusting to the move. Is it in a sunny spot? Mine gets lots of sun.
