I was wondering where this peony was.....Well not sure how this guy got lost outside! I know it is the one I got at the cart load sale last you by the shape of the roots. Just found it on the ground in a knocked over pot from last year. But it seems happy. Need to get it in the ground since it got missed last year.

Got this in the cartload sale. Any advice is appreciated. Only peony I have is a tree.

Plant shallowly (about 2cm below soil surface) and don't mulch over it (prone to rotting). A tip I got is to dig a hole, put some mulch at the bottom and then put peony roots on top of the mulch and then backfill the whole with organic compost. They like rich soil so mulch and compost will feed it slowly as they decompose. 😊
