Phlox Divaricata 'Blue Moon'

First hummingbird moth I seen this year. Visiting my phlox. Didn’t seen many last year. So hope this is a good sign for this year!

Do you have any of their hist plants in your yard? American viburnum, cherry, snowberry, and plum are their caterpiggle foods.

@emch you forgot honeysuckle. Which I have lots of. Also have a cherry tree. Normally I see them around a lot. Last year seen one and it was late summer. And I wait to clean up leaves etc because of them.

So hummingbird moths should not be in shirt supply, @ambitiouswolf !

@emch I know usually see a lot of them. But last year something was off. So hopefully whatever it was is past and they are back strong again.
