This one is really doing well. Was a leafless stick when I got it.

First bloom

My little $2 Julia child rose. Wasn’t sure when I got it if it would survive. All it’s leave fell off when I opened it up. Now it is growing well. Even has its first flower forming on top. Roots are growing well too. They just started to peep out the bottom of the pot. Now it is in the ground. Need them all to get settled in before winter.

Going great. Went from no leaves to all these leaves. Weeds behind it are doing well too 😆

$2 plant. Really taking a chance on this one. What leaves it had fell off when I took it out of the package. Any help with keeping this alive would be greatly appreciated!

Perhaps keep it in part shade until it recovers so as not too stress it even more. Keep it moist and check the bottom of the pot to make sure there are no roots coming through drainage holes. Are you going to plant it in the ground?

@ublaszko @gardengirlla Thanks for the tips. I love roses but haven’t had a lot of luck with them. All the plants I just got for $2 will be in pots for a little while to get established. I don’t know how long these have been in shipping boxes. They will all be going in the ground after I figure out where I’m going to put them all 😆.

They might have been knocked about in transit but should recover. Find them a place away from strong winds and when you water them really drench them and then let the top of the soil dry out before watering again. I wouldn't feed them until they grow vigorously. 😊
