This plant has impressed me. If you scroll back to then I got it last year off Lowes clearance rack, you would have thought it was a goner. But a good soak and it looked like a different plant. I was excited when I seen it come up that it survived the winter. And this is the first time seeing it bloom. I love the flowers different shape and the color combination is great. So glad I decided to take a chance on it.

@sherrisgarden @columbiariver @novicegardenlover this is an interesting plant. It is also a native wildflower in the southeastern states in USA. It seems to have a range up to Kentucky. I’m just a little north of Kentucky.

Good watering can make all the difference. Good soak overnight and looks like a new plant.

Found this on the clearance rack at Lowe’s. Decided to take a chance even though Lowe’s is not marking them down as much as they should now. I don’t know why they done just mark them down half price at least. But this explains why their racks are full of dead plants now. They are not selling them. They rather through them in the trash, then sell them.
