Got this blueberry for $1 at the outlet nursery.
1$! now that's a deal
Gah I have to resist the temptation to go to a nursery today... Went to lowes and got another lovely little clearance succulent planter that I happily scraped the glued rocks out of haha, but your scores are awesome!
@levalar. Hard to resist good deals. The nursery I have been getting these from is an outlet nursery. The company owns several catalog plant companies including springhill, Breck's and Michigan bulb. They use the old springhill nursery as an outlet. When it is past the shipping time for plants, the leftovers go to the outlet. Last week the outlet reduced the prices. Everything over the one pot size was 50% off. Everything under was $1. All bare root plants were $1.
@columbiariver. Laura you are right. It is a great nursery. I lucky it is so close. However I have so much to get planted. Hoping I don't lose any of these great deals before they get in the ground.
Had this little blueberry for a few years. Never did much nor did it flower. I got a different blueberry and planted it in a different spot and it did well. So I move this to the same area last year. This year it has a couple flowers..
👌🏻
I bought the pink one and normal one and planted them together to improve pollination. They're still small plants so it will be a couple of years before they flower and fruit. I'm really looking forward to trying the pink one.
How do you keep the birds from eating them?
Mine are struggling from the cold!
