From the looks of it, it is not an ivy. Maybe a devils ivy wich is technically a pothos or philodendron, not remembering exactly right now. Does the pot have drain holes? How much do you water and fertilize?. Might be able to cut and propagate and make a new healthy plant. @AmyBayless

@mamasan yes it's a pothos. I couldn't remember what it was called when I made the post. It's in the window so it gets planty of light. As for watering, I water it about once a week. It does have drain holes. Half of the Vine died and now it's growing more leaves.

Hiya! A philodendron likes a good bit of indirect sunlight(all but the sun hitting it. It burns the leaves and then they die out) During the summer months u can put it outside in the shade. They dont like to be root bound,so if it's been awhile that might be why some of it died. U can check to see just how wet your soil is by placing your pointer finger into it and if it's wet from start to finish..don't water again for awhile,if it's dry down to the 2nd knuckle water it throughly and ⬇️

Make sure it doesn't stand in water. If u have dead vine or leaves,Trimming all your dead vine off,it helps it have more energy to make newgrowth. WHEN,was the last time u feed it a Fertilizer? OR Have u feed it to much? @AmyBayless
