We were given this last year. I'm not a huge fan of roses because of the amount of bother they give with aphids and blackspot so I've looked after one lovely one which was in our garden to start with and now this one. I use a proprietary rose spray since I really find this is the only thing which works. Also with any leaves which do get black spot, just pick them off and keep the base clear from any dead leaves and debris.
