I would be inclined to agree with you Andrea - I have this all over my garden at the bottom. In early summer, you get little flowers appear which develop into these spherical spiky seed heads. Is that the same as yours?

PlantID It has a fleshy leaf so not a dead nettle and smells like a cross between mint and Oregano
