#clematis Gillian Blades Not the strongest clematis I have. If I'd blinked I might have missed this handful of delicate blooms. It's in the jungle that is set aside for bird sanctuary/wildlife area. Had to trace it's source back through willow trees, hostas until found it under one of the bird tables with the label for identification. I'm a bit puzzled as to why the flower only has 4 petals but hey ho that's gardening. 😀
I've just checked this clematis on google and I think this would be it's 2nd flowering cycle which produces much smaller flowers. Will have to wait until next year to see the big beauties.😩
