Euonymus Alata made it through it's first winter & showing promising signs of #newgrowth Tinge of red already on leaves.

I agree. I think it's a leycesteria too. I have one in my garden. I also have a euonymous alatus and that's still leafless and the little branches are brown not green.

@kathy @plantpotty Bought 2 shrubs from a nursery last year. I'll go and check the labels if and when the rain goes off. I am pretty sure I didn't order Leycesteria Formosa as I've never heard of it or it's common name. I'll post later.
