106 year old Edwardian cottage garden with a 106 year old house attached which is equally challenging. Some days I feel like I'm the same age.

#Pyhsocarpus Opulifolias or Lady in Red Always remember this shrub because it's name reminds me of the ruby red foliage. Pleased to see it emerging after Winter. It really stands out in the border once it's in full bloom. Pinky flowers & a bonus of red berries for the birds at the end of summer. Who could ask for more.

@Keely I didn't now there was a green one but googled it just now and it says that it also flowers and has berries so you'll need to leave it and see what happens. I hope my one flowers & has fruit this year because I had to prune quite a lot of brittle dead stems. I think it's the cold wind that's getting to it. Let's hope they both do well.
