My dahlia has finally opened 😁 the first dahlia I've ever grown and I already know it's going to be the first of many 😍😍😍😍

Waiting for my dahlias to flower. My grandchildren were here from Australia in April and planted seeds. Growing nicely. Managed to battle the slugs and squirrels 😉
It feels like a very long wait from seeing the first buds to them finally opening doesn't it? @librarian or maybe I'm just impatient 🤔 I've got two others that I'm waiting for as well and I must be checking them three times a day just to see if they've opened anymore 😂
Starting to see some colour, excited for it to open properly 😊
Having never grown dahlias before and not having a clue what I was doing with them I was excited to find these two flower buds on the first one today 😁
