Acer Palmatum 'Nigrum'

@jaqi these are the flowers on the black Acer plant 💖

It's a beauty. I've one in my garden but it's no where near 12ft tall ! I've taken several cuttings and they've all taken so I wad wondering if they'd be any good as a small hedge. I think it's the angle you've taken the photo add it looks so wide that I wondered if there was more than one.

It's a monster lol 😂 I don't know why it's so big. I did have it in my front garden originally but moved it to the back and he just sprouted!! It would look amazing as a wee hedge. I just love all acers x

It's certainly happy! I love Acers too can't pass them in the supermarkets without picking one one up😶 just need to find homes for them. Had them on my deck but they ended up wind and sun scorched😦 so they're back in my greenhouse under shading. Had thought of planting the black acer as a hedge and wind break for the more sensitive ones

I just bought another one last week. A little orange one. Will see what size it ends up 🙈 go for it, I think it'll look fab X @jaqi

Hi @jaqi sorry for the delay. It's one plant!! I bought this a few years ago as a small plant in Morrisons would you believe! I love it. It's now got pink flowers on it. It must be at least 12ft tall now.
