Casuarina Equesitifolia. Horse Tail She Oak. My regular morning walk at Peregian Beach. Oz native tree grows to 10 mts height. Able to withstand salt laden ocean winds. Roots help stabilise the dune sands. The long grey/green leaves act as a windbreak to protect native plants further back. Separate male and female trees which flower in Autumn. Female tree produces cone like fruit. #oznative #oznative-tree #oznative-sheoak

So beautiful! I envy your morning walk! My daughter lives in St. Thomas so hopefully one day I’ll live by the beach!😍 🌞 🌅
