Lecythidacea. Couroupita gianensus (Cannonball Tree). Tropical tree can reach 35m with strongly scented pink and white flowers covering tree trunk (See previous post). Large round fruit give the tree its name of Cannonball. Growing in gardens along the Promenade at Cairns. #cannonballtree #cairns
