Love colour, nature, growing fresh herbs and vegies to eat; and flowers for my floral arrangements. Small garden in sub tropics of SE Queensland.

Cuphea. Always in flower, fast growing and tough as boots. Probably 'weed' classified as seedlings are everywhere. Always covered in native and European bees. #cuphea #toughasboots

Cuphea. Survivor. Self seeded in the path. Hope I can rescue this little baby without lifting the path 🤨 #cuphea #cuphea-hyssopifolia #selfseed

Cuphea Hyssopifolia 'Mauve'. Common names: False Heather, Mexican Heather, Elphin Herb. Masses of tiny mauve flowers siftening edges of the front path. #cuphea #cuphea-hyssopifolia #falseheather

@cyndi No, the same. Also in dictionary under another common name as "False Heather'. Other Common names: Hawaiian Heather, 'Mexican Heather' or 'Elphin Herb'. It is not a Heather, which is in the Erica family. In Oz, it is referred to by the Latin Cuphea, (Lythraceae family) which is what I have used. Confusing I know.
