Finally decided a good spot for this hardy little rose. Present garden area at bottom of post is full of herbs so the paver will have to be removed. The rose will look beautiful trailing up the post to be seen from the back door. Job for tomorrow. #rose #rose-freycinet

Tasmanian bred rogusa rose. One of the heritage roses I started experimenting with last year as more suitable for subtropical, coastal garden. Proving to be a success, hardy, disease and grasshopper resistant. Only problem has been where to put it. Thinking the support post at back door could be good. #rose #rose-freycinet

Rose 'Freynet'. Climbing, David Austen Rose. Bred from 'Scabrosa'. Miniature flower starts purple, turning to red. Supposed to be suitable to QLD, although it was bred in TAS. This rose continuously drew me to it's beauty. Declined to purchase, because the grasshoppers will feast on its leaves. After being drawn to the beauty many times, I forgot about the grasshoppers until the rose was in my car and I was driving home. 😱🦗🦗 #rose #rose-freycinet #rose-miniature #rose-climbing #rose-red
