Love colour, nature, growing fresh herbs and vegies to eat; and flowers for my floral arrangements. Small garden in sub tropics of SE Queensland.

I have never seen such pretty exotic colors on cactus . They are gorgeous 👍💗

@kaporyash there are many colours of these zygo cactus which are tropical epiphytite rather than dry desert cactus. They make a dramatic show in hanging baskets where the long stems can trail and make a wonderful overhead show of their flower colours from white, to shades of pink, orange and purple.

Zygocactus 'Rusty'. 5th of my Zygocactus to bloom. A couple more yet to show their pretty colours. These plants are rewarding me for the effort I made last year to revive them from neglect. Trim, repot, feed and shade from direct summer heat. The effort was worth it. Definitely heading to the nursery this evening to see their new deliveries and colours. #zygo #zygocactus #zygocactus-rusty

Zygocactus 'Rusty'. First bloom. Third of my Zygocactus to flower, another three to bloom; Gold Charm is in bud, and will be next to flower. They look amazing hanging in my front patio. Wondering if I should do an evening trip to the nursery to see the new colours 🤔🙂 #zygo #zygocactus-rusty

Winter flowering Schlumberger. Photo taken in June/Winter. At present, too hot to be outside and not pleasant with strong winds. #schlumbergeratruncata

@kimberleyrolfe The colours of these Winter flowering Zygocactus range from pure white to deep pink and orange, some of them dusted with silver or gold highlights. Best in hanging baskets. Grown easily from cutting. Nurseries will be bursting with choices from late autumn through Winter.

Zygo 'Rusty'. Look spectacular in hanging baskets with their mass of large flowers blooming on the end of the leaf. Prune when leaves get too long to keep the flowers massed for best effect. Grown easily from cuttings to increase plants. #zygocactus-rusty

At my last property wallabies ate everything; can't say I miss them too much.
