Just looked at my potatoes and they are full of purple flowers. Not had that colour before they have always been white

Have two new wonderful plants going in soon one is called tomtato that is a tomato plant and potatoes underneath , the other is egg plant with potatoes growing underneath. Will put picture in as soon as I have them growing out side

When starting them off, how long do they take to appear through the soil? Mines been planted around 2 weeks and no sign of them yet... :-/
