My Okra is growing fast in this hot desert climate. Marigolds are planted in container with them to protect them from a few garden bugs. Right now caterpillars are chewing the leaves and I use soap suds to slow them down. Don't want to kill them, as they will become butterflys, but don't want them killing my plants before we get to eat the tender okra pods!

Did you plant the okra from seed? I had trouble germinating mine.

I planted the Okra and marigold seeds at the same time all directly into soil. As you can see from size of plants, not all okra seeds germinated at the same time. Kinda of odd, but it's what happened.
