This is the first time my #pregnantonion has #bloomed. I've had it for probably 4 years. This summer I set it outside.

This is the first year I have had my #pregnantonion outside and the #growth is fantastic. For the first time there is a #flower #bloom coming on 🥰

Big momma my original pregnant onion. I set 20-25 of my house plants outside for the summer and ... A couple did die but only the strong hold on!! 😂 The rest are doing really good 😊 #newgrowth #pregnantonion

She has growns SO much. I have taken multiple starts from her. IMPORTANT: THIS PLANT IS NOT EDIBLE!! Touching can cause rashes/blisters on the skin, I won't go into what happens if you eat them. Incase you are wondering ... The goat ate part of it last year too #indestructiblegoat so if you have less than 4 stomachs leave er be lol #pregnantonion

Can't seem to make her happy so I just sat her outside. A couple new sprouts! Hope it keeps going well. Will have to bring her and like 10 other plants inside before the first frost. #gardenerproblems #pregnantonion

My pregnant onion is not happy at all. She is in a new spot and I'm going to change out her soil to see if that helps.

These typically like full sun, and light, free draining soil.... it looks too wet, with possibly rot at the crown?

I think it's wrong soil and wrong room. I put it in a hotter room with direct light. Got to get more cactus soil and replant

@KariSamuel I need to figure out what's going on with my #pregnantonion it's not growing like it should. I have had it for a year and it hasn't done much. It's supposed to have a flower sprout up and the little wart looking things are supposed to drop off and make new plants.

Did you read the encyclopedia link for this? Bulbs will need to be lifted, separated and replanted - from what I've read. 🤔

@KariSamuel no I haven't looked into it much. It's not one that you separate thought. It grows these wart looking things that will root and make new plants.

The 'warts' are bulblets that are brand new babies, but they still need to be separated from the mother plant.

@KariSamuel thanks, I was told to leave them on until it fell off on it's own. I'm going to try that
