Yay! I fought a fungus on my snake plants a while back and won. Great feeling, lol

@lesliecole49 it absolutely did!! I bought a monstera from Lowes it had some root rot I didn't see and lost half the plant but the half I saved I'm so proud of 🤣 her name is Beyoncé because she's a survivor. I'm scared to water her without peroxide in it now but she seems to love the terracotta watering spikes.

What does the hydrogen peroxide do?

@lesliecole49 When my plant had root rot I took out of the soil wash the roots the best I could cut out any that were beyond repair and soak the roots for a half hour in a water and peroxide blend. I changed the soil out but the soil can be treated and reused.I have got into the habit of every once in awhile throwing in peroxide with watering it's good for the roots and I will get a jump on anything going on in the soil.

@lesliecole49 it saved my Monstera Deliciosa ❤️ glad I was able to tell you about a lil plant trick that you may get some benefits from. It was explained to me as it does the same thing to fungus and bacteria on the roots and in the soil like it does to a wound. Full strength can burn the plants I have been told but have not experienced. I mix 1/3 3% peroxide (I think that's what the normal is) to water and have at it lol

What's wrong with my #variegated-rubbertree #rubbertreetineke the top of her leaves do not have the red/brown on them but a few of the leaves are like this on the bottoms. I think that’s👌 but if you don’t like it, remove it. More will grow back, doesn’t look like a pest but maybe sun stresses or the leaf is unwanted by the plant. Lol 😆

I agree with @docthrill , I'd keep an eye on it and if it's ok except for the underside color then I would just leave it 💘😍

@lovestogarden this is my first variegated one. Someone told me it's "rust" and can get on my other plants to use copper fungicide on the plants. So first treatment tonight we will see how it goes.
