Momma starting to grow ❤️ she's getting old but I mound fresh soil around her every year. Finally getting new growth in the middle. #lavender

Momma lavender is getting old. Every year I mound some nice soil around her and give her some extra love. Finally getting new growth in the middle that got trampled by a goat! #lavender

She is massive, I haven't been taking as many cuttings to dry/use as normal. This year it looks like a colony of Bumblebees has taken her over 🐝🥰 of course I look up bee stuff and the bumbles are more efficient pollinators than the honey bee and the "nicest" of the bee world lol #lavender #pollinators #bumblebee
Gorgeous..i have one about 1/2 the size of yours and bees Love it 🐝 💘
@crabby58 this one is around 7 years old I believe. I bought it at a dormant plant 5 years ago

#plantid what type of lavender do y'all this this is? It's 7years old I would say, I planted it 5 years ago at a decent size healthy plant . it's massive and I have not been able to get ANY other lavender to live in this spot. #lavender #munstead #english ??
People were telling me it would only live 5-7 years and would probably die soon. My reply was "hold my beer" 😂 I will get the 15-20 out of her if not more.
Main part of plant is I would say 2 ft. Tall 3-4 ft when blooms are on BUT I have mounded soil every spring around the plant and woody parts so it's hard to tell how much I have "raised" the plant.

@emch as soon as I walk out the back door you can smell it .
