After a long summer of nurturing this Katsura that was excavated in Spring - I finally got my #Katsura dropped in place, hopefully it'll winter well in its new home and come back well next Spring!
@rachelbrooks I don't want to speak too soon, but it has made a massive recovery since I got it, so I'm hoping for the best! It was the victim of a hasty landscaping job in April and it lost a lot of root! Since then It has been pampered in a builders bag in the yard all over summer, packed in tight with a mixture of loose sandy soil, decaying leaf mold and mycorrhizal mycelium, and when I came to take it out today, it had formed a real dense matt of fine feeder roots! 🤞🏼indeed!

Well it certainly sounds like you’ve given it a lot of TLC and great that it’s now formed a decent root system! 👍🏼👍🏼
That's great, keep us posted 👍👍👍
