My first go at training. I have no idea if cherry “Porthos” is a good cultivar for fan training but I don’t care 😆 when it arrived, it had a natural fan shape so I thought I might as well have a go! Anyone done this before and can tell me if I’ve got the overall shape/pruning more or less correct? #training #advice #fan
That's the intention, but only partially. It's quite delicate and with lots of buds/blooms, so some I have done for fear of damage. Come winter however, that's precisely what I'll do, although it is a bush, not a tree, so will possibly fill out quite a bit.
