Clivias come from South Africa and grow in most areas of Australia. They don’t like frost or extreme cold though and need protection if grown in those conditions. They look good planted in clumps in a shady spot under a tree or on the shady side of the house. They're very hardy and come in orange, red-orange, yellow and cream. In colder places you just have to dig them up in autumn, and plant them again in spring. Mine is in the basement right now, in a paper bag.
