Looking for a shrub that is tough, doesn’t mind sun and has a colourful flower? Then maybe Ixora is the plant for you. Comes in a number of colours and is long flowering too. Thanks @Cassius for sharing yours. 💖🧡💖 #ixora
Thank you for posting plants that do well in hot/dry environments! (Obviously, you’re in Australia 🇦🇺 haha) I live in the United States in a semi-arid desert climate so it can be difficult sometimes to find plants that can withstand & even thrive in such an environment! 🙏💚
@ausgardentags Rain??? I’ve never heard of it... only in storybooks! haha! Jk! Where I live, we only see up to 9 inches of annual rainfall which is measly compared to the U.S. average rainfall of 38 inches
@ausgardentags It barely ever rains or snows here, our spring & fall seasons are short, the difference between daytime & nighttime temps are drastic & summer temperatures soar into the 90’s & 100’s for months at a time. Some people might say this is where plants go to die... haha 😂 I don’t let that defeat me though! I use it as motivation to strive harder & succeed despite the obstacles
@ausgardentags thanks for sharing my pic!! I have orange and yellow ones too! I give the. Very little love and they got through our drought last year well!

@kypie8 you live in a tough climate! Do you get winter or summer rainfall?

We have plenty of arid land here. Definitely makes for challenging gardening conditions @kypie8 💪🏼
