I hate to be THAT GT'er, but isn't this a Saintpaulia?

Saintpaulia was renamed by botanists a little while ago after DNA analysis and grouped into a special section within the Streptocarpus Genus 👍🏼 @emch

Well I knew they looked alike in some ways, but...well no wonder I can't keep either one alive 😭

I still remember them as Saintpaulia and not Streptocarpus...! Like with so many other plant name changes I still search for plants by the botanical name I first learnt... “old habits die hard”. @emch @richard.spicer.7906

Looking for some indoor winter colour? What about an African Violet? 💜 Some find them tricky to keep looking good (or even alive!!) but I’m sure @debbiegillan would have a tip or two to share with you! I know they don’t like being overwatered. Thanks for sharing @debbiegillan 💜 #africanviolet
