Mine are under our large cherry tree so I love to see them in spring. Not a lot grows there in summer so that’s not a problem @awomanonabike

Me too, it's wonderful how everything is waking up now, it feels all of a sudden even though we've been waiting ages 🌼🌿🌸🌻

It seems a long time coming this year! It makes such a difference to us all!

1 April 2018 • I took this yesterday before the heavy rain. Suspect it’s not looking so perky now. These are much hardier than the encyclopaedia says & will happily survive down to -15C or even -20C, which is just as well given the cold, wet winter I thought we had emerged from 😉

Thanks Katy & G - good to know (I wish we could edit encyclopaedia entries...) My RHS book only refers to the British Isles and we don’t get that low here, thankfully. Brrrr! ❄️❄️ @gjones
