30 Apr 2019 • Amazed and thrilled that this is now flowering given its very shaky start to life, though also a bit surprised as I thought it would flower in early spring 💚
I love this it's beautiful and delicate 😊😊❤❤
It’s a really sweet one isn’t it Christine @midnightgardener
It certainly is @awomanonabike 😊😊
Loads of these at Harrogate flower show nearly everyone was buying them
I’m not surprised Keely, I would have done! 😂 @Keely
Very subtle and understated 💚
I am so pleased that it is not only alive but has finally flowered too. The bottom fell out of its first pot as I moved it, then the window cleaner reversed into its second one, then I stood on it as I was repotting it for the third time... 🙄🙄🙄 @rachelbrooks
Blimey! Poor ol’ Joe! Lucky he doesn’t hold a grudge! 🙈🤣
Evidently not! 😂 @rachelbrooks
😂😂 I was just about to email you... @columbiariver

15 Oct 18 • Third time lucky. Bottom fell out of its first pot then the window cleaner reversed into its second pot... I hope I’ve added enough drainage that it will survive outside, but odds are against it given it’s history 🙄😂
#clematis
Very similar leaf to my ‘avalanche’ which is very vigorous so fingers crossed.
It didn’t help that I seem to have stooden on a bit that was trailing when I repotted it. Poor plant. How many lives do clematis have? 🤔😂 @valjones-hughes
That’s destined to fail Jacquline but will probably flourish 🤣👍🏼
😂😂🤞🤞 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom
I’ve just come across your comment Jason - only 6 months later 🙄😂 I got this from Taylor’s if you want to treat yourself once you get to your new dream garden 😊 @Jasonsparkes1

4 February 2018 • I don’t know whether I will get away with this but when I went to move my pot the bottom was no longer attached! I’ve left the Clematis in the (now bottomless) pot and moved it onto some soil. Here’s hoping 🤞
No reason why it shouldn't be ok I don't think 👍 It's too nice to throw out Jacqueline ☺️
That’s what I thought too Sue. Only hope Clematis will survive... If it does it should look good there as it’s got the wisteria to climb up 🤞🤞 @susanhumphrey333
I thought it was a Wisteria Jacqueline. I have Wisteria envy ☺️
Wisteria is one of my “desert island” plants. I just love it. Have you ever tried to grow one? @susanhumphrey333
I would’ve thought it’ll love it! 👍🏼👍🏼 and it’ll look gorgeous with the wisteria 👌🏼
No I haven't Jacqueline. Never got around to it. I would love to replace my climbing Hydrangea with one, as it doesn't flower very well now ☺️ Are they slow growing and only flower after several years 🤔as I'm very impatient 😂
Fingers crossed and you couldn’t get rid of the pot!! I’m sure it will look lovely Jacqueline 😍😍
Thanks Rachel. It’s just not as sunny there but fingers crossed @rachelbrooks
They seem to vary in how vigorous they are Sue but if you get one in flower or with signs of having flowered, you should be fine. I think the alba might be my favourite as the new leaves are lovely too 🤔😊 @susanhumphrey333
Thanks Jane. I’m a bit disappointed by the pot but if it does OK there I will forgive it 😉 @pelly
I should think you are, it doesn't look like it was cheap!! Let's hope it deserves your forgiveness eventually. 👍👍

I have no idea how happy this will be in a pot but 🤞🏻
Love the chair.
Haha! You're supposed to admire the clematis... 😉😂 @euphorbia
#awomanonabike yes, very nice clematis too. :-)
I love this one such a prolific flowerer and im sure if pots deep enough it should be fine 😄
😉😊 @euphorbia
Taylor's Clematis, who I got it from, said it can look great tumbling out of an old chimney pot and this is a similar shape. Just hope it isn't too cold & wet for it... @Keely
I think it'll be just fine in there - I have Pixie (quite similar) in a (much shallower) pot and it's going great guns! 👍🏼💚
Thanks Rachel. I'm already looking forward to spring! @rachelbrooks
I'm with @euphorbia - I couldn't get past that seat either. Next year will probably be a different story, when that clematis really gets going! Can't wait to see progress pictures!
😂I do hope so Mona @emve 😊
I've seen them in wet Yorkshire so fingers crossed for you put 4" of mulch over top of pot to protect roots from wet winter I have done that with mine on back patio that's in permanent shade over winter n just hoping they will survive if it gets too frosty going to wrap pot in bubble wrap n fleece 😆
It has taken a few years to get into its stride but It seems to be making up for it now 💚🤍 #clematiscartmanii #clematis-cartmannijoe
It's stunning Jacqueline 💚💚💚
Thanks Jane. I’m so pleased with it 😍 @pelly
I'm not surprised 💚
Do you remember, this is the one that was in a different pot and when I went to move it the bottom fell out 😱🤣 Still, it seems to have recovered! @pelly
Oh wow!
Thanks Susan. I’m glad you like it 😊 @novicegardenlover
lovely blooms, such a joy to look at! 🤗
Thanks Mal. They’re lovely aren’t they 💚 @malada
It’s gorgeous Jacqueline 💚
I remember the incident but not the plant. I've just swiped back and it really has made a spectacular recovery 💚
Thanks Sarah. I knew it had the potential to be fab but just wasn’t sure it would do it in my garden 😜😊 @sieveheadsarah
