This is a Gaultheria mucronata (although the label said Pernettya Rood)... I was enticed by it's beautiful berries, which look great with the cyclamen, but whether it will survive in a pot, I don't know. Time will tell. Having now looked it up, I suspect I'll need to repot it in ericaceous soil sooner or later. And buy a male for it to play with. Sometimes plants win π
I got a pink one a few weeks ago and put it straight in the garden. My soil is ph neutral and it seems to be fine at the moment. Do you think I should give it an ericacious feed Jacquline? π€π€
From what I've read, they are very fussy about pH, so yes I would. This one is in general purpose compost in a pot but I might empty it out and re-do with ericaceous, to give it more of a chance. They are in the ericaceae family, so similar requirements to acid loving heathers @pelly

I was a bit remiss with mine, I usually read up on new plants, but didn't with this one. Thanks for putting me right Jacqueline. ππ
I usually do too, but this one had leapt into my trolley before I had the chance ππ @pelly
Oh no.....not another of those pesky trolley leaping plants ππ
Isn't it dreadful when that happens?! ππ @pelly
A common occurrence in my experience. Strange happenings in garden centres up and down the landπ π€£π
Iβm surprised we donβt hear about it in the news. Strange indeed @valjones-hughes π€π
