A definite favourite. Who am I kidding? It’s like having a favourite child. I love them all 🖤💞 #hellebore #helleboreappreciationsociety 💞

Good enough to eat Jacqueline

Thanks Lin 😊 @linfoster

😂 Wouldn’t it be great if it smelled of chocolate too 😍 @jendren

That's just beautiful Jacqueline 😍😍😍

Thanks Jane. Still not big enough to split but hopefully it will be next year as #youcanthavetoomanyhellebores 😉😂 @pelly

It's a graceful as well 😍😍

It is isn’t it and not too down-hearted 😉 @ublaszko

Have you ever tried cross pollinating them Jacqueline, I want to try it when they are dry enough 🤔

I haven’t no. Though they seem quite good at doing it themselves. I often have rogue ones turning up in the garden, though they are usually dark purple... @pelly

Gorgeous

Thank you Sharon 😊 @sharonhayden

14 Jan 18 • This one is a little less shy than the picotee but is still hiding #hellebore

😯💓💜💓

It's a real beauty!💘😍

I love this one - may be because it's got double chocolate in the name though. 😁

Thanks Shelley 😊 @ShelleySnyder

It does help doesn’t it?! 😉😂 @lilybee

That's just gorgeous 😍😍

It’s a pretty one isn’t it. There are snowdrops around it too but I couldn’t get a picture that showed the flower and the snowdrops 🤷♀️ @pelly

Another gorgeous one! 💗💜

This is a really fab one Michelle. Just wish it would lift its head a little 🙄 @mich

It’s a beautiful one Jacqueline..I know it’s so frustrating when they face down 🤷♀️

23 March 2018 • There’s something slightly freaky about this photo... #helleboretriphid

😂😂 They are behind a wall to the south, so get very little direct light but I know it does depend on variety. @columbiariver

Love those flowers x x

Rather disturbing, sleep well Jacqueline 😂😂

😂😂 Hmm? Not sure they’ll be sweet dreams 🤔😉 @pelly

Most of them are shy (aka droopy) 😂Makes them more alluring?! 🤔😉@columbiariver

😂 Glad to have helped 😘 @columbiariver

Triffids!!!

Exactly! 😱 @rachelbrooks

It's super freaky😱 @awomanonabike

Beautiful 🐾
Hello Jacqueline, I haven't had much gardening activity lately, apart from doing some work on my granddaughters very small garden, it hasn't been a very good winter though, but I am really looking forward to 'pitching in' now that the Spring is finally here. Hope you are well, and thank you for missing me! ❤️ @awomanonabike

15 March 2018 • Another favourite #hellebore Also a bit shy initially but soon perks up 🖤💜🖤

Absolutely luscious! 💜🖤💜

It’s finally lifting its head too 😊@rachelbrooks

I’m looking forward to this one bulking up as I’d love to have it dotted around the garden @gjones

I wish they weren’t so shy ☺️
Beautiful colour , have just brought 10 of these to be delivered end of may can not wait !

Stunning Jacqueline @awomanonabike what a Fabulous colour 😍😘

They’re less shy now it’s milder. I’d have hidden in that cold @rachelbrooks

10?! That’s just greedy 😉😂😂 (but they’ll look wonderful) @lynneleopard

It is a real stunner Suzie 🖤💛🖤@jadojado29

23 February 2018 • It looks so shocked to have finally opened...

Oooh thats luxurious😍

Isn't she a beauty 😍😍

It is a fabulous dark chocolate colour Denise @Denise16 @gjones

It’s been worth the wait Jane @pelly

I think it probably is Laura, though this one looks positively startled 😮 😂 @columbiariver

Think it’s seen the weather forecast Jacqueline, truly beautiful though ..,,these Harvington doubles are amazing plants 💜💜💜

Haha! I think you’re right. Though even stranger it’s facing a wall. Maybe it’s leaning back to get some sun? I know that feeling 😎 @icedance

Maybe I know that feeling too, though ☀️ is in short supply right now , bless it did make me giggle 🤭

Here too, though ☀️ is forecast for the weekend 😊 @icedance

Yes here too ☀️🙂though What lies beyond looks jolly ❄️❄️❄️ for us easterly dwellers 😱

It does! Maybe it didn’t realise it was this cold! Such a fabulous colour 💜🖤

Yay! It's opening time! #hellebore

Oh hellllooo 💜💜💜 luscious! 👌🏼

Isn't it?! This is the one that has a few snowdrops nearby but I'm going to transplant some more under it 😊 @rachelbrooks @Jasonsparkes1 @jaynehynesburton

Great idea the purple and white will look great together 😁

Ah! That'll be a beautiful combination 💜

I hope so. It's in a rather dark little corner behind a wall so should brighten it up @jaynehynesburton @rachelbrooks

Oh I love this one Jacqueline. I was hoping to get another today but there weren't any. That's why I got the Heuchera. (Well that's my excuse anyway). @awomanonabike 😄😄

Another beautiful bloom 🤗

It's a little beauty isn't it? There will be other opportunities I'm sure Jane 😊😊@pelly @debs69

Almost there. You can do it! #hellebore #chocolate #winterblooms

Ooh that looks luscious! 👌🏼💜

Love the colour Jacqueline. 💜💜💜

It's a fabulous one isn't it? I'm going to put some snowdrops underneath, so should look even better in a few years... @rachelbrooks @linfoster @pelly

Ooh yeah! That'll look lovely 👌🏼
I remember when I first planted this I thought it would look good with the #narcissus-tete-a-tete …They have never before been in flower at the same time 🤷♀️ #hellebore-harvington-double-chocolate
They do look good together!
Lovely 👍🏻
Turns out I’m losing the plot. Who knew? 😂 It’s the snowdrops that I hoped would look good with the hellebore but have never been in flower at the same time as each other, until now… See 👀 There’s one I promise @brightcolours 😂🤣
I see it!! And a mass of white snowdrops would look stunning with the dark hellebore!! Hopefully it’s the first of many pairings of the two over the coming years.
