Hi Ange, most Heuchera need a moist but well-drained soil so it will depend on how dry your spot is. I’m in Cumbria so I’m not very familiar with dry 😉😂 @anges
Lancashire’s not that dry! 😉 I think it would be happy there. They are woodland plants after all. If not, what about #geraniumphaeum or #brunnera They would both love it 🤔😊 @anges
@awomanonabike Yes I like Brunnera, just looked up geranium phaeum which I have never seen before but I like that too 👌No harm in trying a heuchera just to see. 😊 Thanks. 😎
Hi @awomanonabike @anges Heucheras are North American woodland plants. The love partial shade and some (mainly the lighter colours love the deep shade and the darker colour love fun sun as well as partial shade.) They all like moist well drained soil ...but they will live in drier gardens too but if it goes hot they will need more water, they hate to be waterlogged!! Xx hope this helps :-) x
15 Oct 18 • This is one of two heucheras that I bought at #harrogateautumnflowershow2018 specially for full shade 💛 @plantagogo
@awomanonabike Hi, do you know if that could be planted in dry shade? Thanks, Ange 💛

@awomanonabike Thanks, I have a border under a willow tree so it's shady and dry. Maybe not a heuchera then. I'm in Lancashire ☺
