When I'm not on my bike, you'll find me in my organic-ish garden in #Cumbria. Favourite plants? Wisteria, hellebores, peonies, philadelphus...

Lactuca sativa

Our first #salad crop of the year always feels like the beginning of something. I have no idea when it usually is but just have a feeling that it is earlier than this, so thought I would post this for future reference. You might also just be able to spot a bit of #asparagus (it’s on the pizza 👀) #gyo #lettuce

We now have a houseful and it was the youngest’s turn to cook and she makes a mean pizza. That one was with asparagus, prosciutto and parmesan 😋 I’d definitely recommend it! @sieveheadsarah

Sounds great Jacqueline, have you tried walnuts, goats cheese and a drizzle of runny honey, it’s delicious on a pizza 👌🏻😃 http://www.restaurantmatilda.com/en/carta/our-menu it’s the second one on the pizza menu. Does your daughter make her own base too??

Ooh that does sound nice. Yes she does. I can just hear her voice: “Of course!”. She hated cookery at school because their (obese) cookery teacher her told them to bring in bought pizza bases and bought passata to make pizzas with and she was already making her own aged 12 🙄😂 @sieveheadsarah

Sad really as being able to cook is such an important life skill, especially at the moment @sieveheadsarah

I’m always shocked when people say they can’t cook, I just don’t understand why, I learnt so much from my junior and secondary school cooking lessons and also from my Mum whose a great cook.
