...and now there are four! Not exactly a meadow but better than none π #narcissus-pseudonarcissus
Lovely, glad Iβm not the only one with only 4 daffodils βΊοΈ

ππ Itβs the quality that counts @MonRayRem

Thanks Laura. You mean my Moon Gate - well a Cumbrian version. It leads from the cultivated bit of the garden to this wilder bit. Iβm glad you like it. @columbiariver

A brilliant dry stone waller made it for us about 15 years ago. It replaces something similar that just wasnβt very well done and fell down. On the left it drops down to a curved retaining wall at the back of my bed made of buildersβ rubble. I love it. Will try and take some more photos of it for you... π @columbiariver

Haha! Me too, and youβre welcome Laura @columbiariver

5 April 2018 β’ The first of the native #daffodil to flower. Weβve even managed not to stand on them this year!

It's a beauty! Quite subtle isn't it? π

I love it too but itβs so subtle itβs been too subtle to avoid our feet π @ublaszko

Sweet πΌ

πππ I don't have many daffs as I find them too blowsy but these ones look like they're dancing π I have some highly fragrant double daffs and they look like scrambled egg πππ

In a good way?! π³ @ublaszko

They're very fragrant so they're forgiven the eggy look π

I think this looks like a stray one I have in my garden. Thank you π ππΌ

Youβre welcome. I planted a few years ago hoping they would naturalise in the grass but theyβve had a bit of a tough upbringing π @richard.spicer.7906

My one and only...it's not their fault, they keep being stood on when they are tiny. One day they will naturalise...

These are also known as #narcissus #pseudonarcissus No idea why π€

Oh! Who keeps standing on them? It is a rather lovely 'one' though ππΌπΌ

Well I can't really blame him. I stupidly planted them in the grass that leads directly to our veg patch. This year they didn't just get stood on but wheelbarrowed over too but as he's doing some new paths I can't really complain π @rachelbrooks

Perhaps best not to Jacqueline πππ

ππ That's what I thought Jane!! @pelly

Oh! No, probably best keep quiet under the circumstances! There's always next year! π¬π

Yeah, they've only been in about 10 years already... ππ @rachelbrooks

Awww

Oh no! Somehow that seems worse as they aren't native or wild. I hope they survive π€π»ππ»π @columbiariver

And now there are ten! It may not be the swathe of wild daffodils that Wordsworth enjoyed but they still make me very happy π #narcissus-pseudonarcissus #wild-daffodil #native-daffodil
