#white #pyracantha
I pruned mine today. It’s a lethal plant to prune. 😳
That's a beauty a mass of flowers 👌
I’m sure that’s why the birds love it so much. It will be a while before I can do anything to mine. It’s full of nests: sparrows, blackbirds and possibly goldfinch I think @suerichards
And it’s about 15’ high! In the right place it’s a fantastic plant @Keely

25 Oct 18 • It’s #pyracantha berry time for the birds ❤️🐦
❤️ Love watching them devour all the berries. They strip mine bare
And this one too but it is really Lauren this year - they’ll have a feast @rachelbrooks
@awomanonabike I love your contributions here! Incidentally I must be one of the few people who keeps a garden blog and a bike blog! Happy cycling.
Aw, thank you Pat 😊 I’m currently planning my next big cycle ride: round Ireland clockwise from Dublin to Belfast 🇮🇪🚴🏻♀️🍻 @patburke58
@awomanonabike Be sure to include Waterford Greenway to Dungarvan! And I'd meet you along the way. Might even give you a garden tour, Jacqueline! Www.burkesbiking.wordpress.com
You’re on! I have friends in Carrick-on-Suir, which can’t be so far away from you 🤔
How are you Pat? Not seen you on here for a long time. I hope everything is OK🤔 @patburke58 PS Sorry I forgot to tag you in my reply ⬆️
Ah thank you so much for asking! Yes, I've been very quiet here and on other social media since April. But the good news is I'm back!
I’m glad to hear all is well. When you disappeared from Strava too I started to worry... Welcome back! @patburke58

30 Aug 18 • Also cut back some of the over enthusiastic shoots on this today. I don’t remember it ever having so many berries ❤️

6 May 3018 • Look away now if you don’t like heights... I lost count of how many birds nests (mainly blackbird I think) that are in here!
Wow! I couldn't understand the 📷 perspective and the photo until I read your comment. Cool 📷! Be careful! #height #firethorn #pyracantha #ladder
Don’t worry Janice. I love my ladders - they’re very stable @lovestogarden
Good girl. ❤
Wow😮 that is high! @awomanonabike
It’s the top of a barn wall Kim. I needed to stop this and a climbing hydrangea from growing into the barn! @kimguy
Oh my goodness. I see why! 🍀Jacqueline. @awomanonabike

Still lots of #berries left on the #pyracantha but definitely getting nibbled 🐦
Stunning colour Jacqueline @awomanonabike 🍁🍁🍁
They're great aren't they Jane? And it is covered! @pelly
Beautiful Jacqueline 😊

If you don’t already have a #pyracantha in your garden then I really recommend you get one. I have lost count of how many nests are in mine. All you need is a blank wall… #plantsforbirds #wildlifewednesday on a Thursday 😉👍
I planted one last year for this exact reason Jacqueline, but it’s tiny at the moment, it’ll be many years until the birds can nest in it. 😀
I got one years ago in memory of one of my dogs now I have three it is great seeing the blackbirds nesting in them and the birds eating the berries
It will be worth the wait Sarah (but I hope it’s not too long) 😊@sieveheadsarah
Isn’t it! I love mine and can see it from my kitchen sink, which cheers up doing the dishes 😂 @Jean12345
Yes I’ve had blackbirds nesting in mine but it’s also a good deterrent for would be burglars 🤣
So I’ve heard Christine. Another good reason to grow one 👍 @vegandmore
