I wish you could smell this. It is just by the front door and the #perfume wafts in every time the door is opened 💗 #rhododendron-tinkerbird #scented
Lovely 💓🤍💓
It’s a small plant Rula but the flowers are big and smell divine 😍@sabbanrula
I had that outside my front door in my old house too and the scent is simply stunning 👌🏼
It was you who recommended it Justin, and I love it. Thank you. Are you going to replace it? @justin
I hope so when I have my own garden again Jacqueline 👍🏼 @awomanonabike
Have you just moved temporarily? Your garden was so lovely but I’m sure your next one will be too 👍 @justin
I moved to Cornwall last year for a new job and am currently renting until I find somewhere I want to buy. I still have my house in Surrey but it’s now rented out... I just hope the tenants are looking after the place and garden as I put a lot of effort into it. I really miss having my own garden but am thankful to be in Cornwall right now considering the circumstances 😘 @awomanonabike
I’ve enjoyed your photos but hadn’t realised that you had moved. I bet you miss your garden but I’m sure being in Cornwall is making up for it. I know where I would rather be 😊 Take care and enjoy the peace and quiet @justin

2 May 2019 • #Tinkerbird - I wonder how it got its name. This dwarf #rhododendron has the biggest flowers that are heavily scented. Another for #smell-o-vision

7 May 2018 • I hope everyone was able to enjoy a sun-filled weekend ☀️ This little beauty is filling the garden with scent. It may be a dwarf variety but its flowers are mahoosive 😃
Good morning Justin. Was it you that recommended this rhodie? If so thank you so much. It’s fabulous. I have it in a pot next to Loropetalum Chinense ‘Firedance’ and Heuchera Marmalade and love it @justin
Good morning Jacquline 👋🏼 yes it was and I’m very glad you’re happy with it. Mine has been the best ever this year with so many flowers and the scent has just been wonderful. Glad you’re enjoying the new addition
Another one for the wish list 😍😍
The flowers make up for the slightly weird looking buds 🤔 but we can’t all be perfect 😉😂 @justin
It’s a very worthy addition Jane 😃 It had never occurred to me before to look for dwarf varieties so I can grow them in pots. @pelly
I didn't even realise you could get dwarf ones until a few months ago, and since my garden isn't big enough for a full blown one these are ideal for me and I am delighted to find I'm able to have them Jacqueline 😍😍
Gawjus it is too, fabulous weekend couldn't have asked for a better one with the sunshine, hope you did too 😄
I suppose if I’d though about it I knew they existed but just hadn’t clocked that I could grow them 🙄🤪 @pelly
Thanks Keely, it’s been fabulous. Managed to ride my bike AND garden everyday ☀️🚴🏻♀️😍🚴🏻♀️😍🚴🏻♀️☀️ @Keely

10 January 2018 • And thanks too to @justin for inspiring this new addition 😍 I can’t wait for those buds to open. Also from @thompsonmorgan1855
Ohh, nice buy Jacqueline 😍😍
Hope so. It looks really heatlhy. Now all it needs now is a lovely pot... 🤔 @pelly
Ohh, I see a shopping trip coming on Jacqueline 🙄😂
Well I do have to go to Penrith next week and it would be criminal not to pop into Larch Cottage 😬 @pelly
Oh most definitely Jacqueline, it has to be done sometimes, I know it will be painful but just don't think about it. 😂😂
Lovely shiny leave Jaqueline 🍃
😂 Sometimes you have to suffer for your plants @pelly
It looks great doesn’t it Vanessa @nessas
This is a great dwarf one Laura. Should be fine in a pot, which is my plan as my soil is alkaline @columbiariver
Fantastic purchase 😊 just you wait until it flowers, the scent is gorgeous 👍🏼 enjoy
Thanks Justin. I can’t wait 😊 @justin
A little bit of rain at last and the #scent is 👌 #rhododendron-tinkerbird
You’re lucky Jacqueline to have had rain, we desperately need some 💦
We desperately needed it too so I was very happy, after a weekend away, to see how wet everything is. I hope you get some soon too 🤞💦☔️ @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom
You had rain 😲. So need it in Norfolk
Unfirtunately you folks in the west got most of the rain while us on the east of the Pennines only got a tiny bit
Sorry Charlotte. I’ll tell it to head east next time, I promise 😬 @charlotte
Most of the time I’d be jealous of you but it has been another very dry spring hasn’t it 🤔🌏🔥 @joannie.a
